It’s that time of year again and I’m starting to feel the panic. Better get shopping! This weekend you can shop for everyone on your list and enjoy a festive tree lighting celebration.

This Saturday, November 17, is Ridge Hill’s first Annual Tree Lighting Event and it’s going to be quite a party. Starting at 5pm enjoy live entertainment, giveaways and Santa arrives at 6pm to light the tree. Feeling lucky? Guess how many lights are on the tree and you could win a $1,000 Ridge Hill Gift Card! Westchester’s Ridge Hill: One Ridge Hill Boulevard, Yonkers

Visit the Greenburgh Nature Center on Saturday, November 17 to see their puppet show “Autumnal Adventures” at 11am and 1pm. The animals are busy frolicking in the leaves and preparing for winter. Join Jilly and her puppets for singing, dancing, giggling and lots of fall fun. The show is recommended for ages 2-7. Jilly’s past shows have sold out so advance ticket purchase is strongly suggested. Buy your tickets here. Members $5, Non-Members $8 ($25 for family). Greenburgh Nature Center: 99 Dromore Road, Scarsdale

There are lots of fun activities this weekend at Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture. Kids ages 5-10 can sign up for Stone Barns Center “Kids in the Kitchen” this Saturday. First, they will help harvest fresh vegetables and herbs in the garden, gather just-laid eggs. Then they’ll prepare a healthy dish that focuses on seasonal produce. After the food is prepared, the kids get to eat the feast. Class is from 1 – 2pm and is $20 per child, $18 for members. Reserve your spot here.

Also at Stone Barns this Saturday, don’t miss the Turkey Herding Demonstration at 4pm! Learn about the life of a Stone Barns turkey and watch how they are herded to their barn where they sleep every night. Seeing a herd of turkeys running is a sight you may never forget! No registration is needed. There is also Hands On Egg Collecting and check out the self guided tours at Stone Barns. Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture: 630 Bedford Road, Pocantico Hills, NY

On Sunday, November 18, go back to the 60’s with your kids at Tarrytown Music Hall’s “Woodstock for Kids.” Sing along to traditional American songs, dance classics and original music with the popular children’s artist, Dan Zanes on guitar. Elizabeth Mitchell sings renditions of our favorite songs from the 60’s by Woody Guthrie, Bob Marley, The Velvet Underground, Vashti Bunyan, Gillian Welch and more! Tickets are $28 per person. Tarrytown Music Hall: 13 Main Street, Tarrytown
